Has something changed as I now can't use the live upload.

I get to the point of logging on to face book and get a

Unhandled exception has occurred in a component iin your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt. to continue.

Could not load file or assembly 'System, Web. Version=2.0.0.0.Culture=neutral. PublicKey Token=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies.

I'm using Win7 x64

Any ideas?

I love LiveUpload to Facebook,but now when I'm asked to login to FB,it doesn't work,and I'm asked to login again, still doesn't work.I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I recently bought a new Packard Bell Laptop,Windows 7,but I'm almost certain Upload worked to start with.This is the message I receive each time I try to login:The authorization process could not be completed.Please log in again.

Hi Duff,

Since 2010, Facebook has changed again its max size (not sure what the actual max size is, at least 960px).

So I was just thinking that the most convenient way to deal with theses changes would be to allow a way to optionnaly change this setting, either via a config file, the persistent XML (not very convenient for tweaking as it would require the plugin to expose it in the Configuration form), or better yet via a key in the registry.

One other advantage of this would be to allow the user to send his images non resized which would allow the facebook users to download the hi-res image.

What do you think of this ?

Hi, I used this little software (LiveUpload to Facebook) with the Windows Photo Galery. However, now that I want to use it again, each time I try to run it and "Add my account" to start uploading photos, in the "Click in login to continue", the LiveUpload sends an error message saying:

"There was an error initiating the process. Please try again later".

I already uninstalled and install it again, but the error continues. How can I fix it?

When I upload my album the people tags don't come through, when the upload is complete it says that 59 photos were succesful and 47 were not. All the photos did upload but those 47 unsucesful ones were ones that had people tags in them which the tags didnt come through.

Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution? Im using the newest version of windws live photo gallery.

Same problem here. Now I understand why it affected some albums, but not others. I hope this was just a Facebook oversight and they get you back online soon. Thanks for your efforts.

Facebook disabled my LiveUpload plug-in yesterday, though I'm not completely sure why because it was shut down by an automated computer program, not a human. I've started the appeals process to re-enable it. Sorry for the inconvienence but unfortunately I have no control over Facebook.

I have loved using this application. Yesterday, when I went to upload a picture to FB, none of our existing accounts came up and I couldn't even create a "new" account and start over. I got an error message that says "there was an error initiating the login process". Furthermore, all the albums I created on FB using LiveUpload (tons) are completely gone. I'm pretty upset. Has Facebook banned this application like the KDE applications? (I'm not a techie, but googling the issue, I found that they had banned other open source applications) I hope this is just a minor glitch that will get fixed soon :(

Hello,

I am currently having an issue with my new Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit machine where I simply cannot upload any pictures regardless of browser or application. I did have some limited success however with LiveUpload to Facebook, so I'm currently trying to see if I can resolve the issue.

Logging into Facebooks appears to work fine. It shows me my account profile as one of the choices I can select. LiveUpload also shows my all my albums and lets me pick the appropriate one. When a single photo is selected for upload, the progress bar quickly jumps to 95% or so complete, then just sits there for a few minutes, after which the application will return with "0 photos uploaded successfully, 1 photo unsuccessfully uploaded", or words to that effect.

Clicking on "more information" I get the following error message: Uploading "075.JPG"...Failed with the following error: "Facebook did not respond to the request. Please try again.

As I said, I was successful in uploading a few pictures with LiveUpload. Out of a batch of 14, 2 were successfully uploaded. I have also been able to create new albums with LiveUpload, although I still have the upload issue.

Hi, I am having trouble downloading a video that I made using Windows Live Movie Maker to Facebook. When I go to Facebook to download it, it say that file is not supported. How do I do it and i tried converting the file but its like a .wlmp project file and wont let me convert it. What do I do?

Just installed LiveUpload. Picture upload just fine, but the people tag is missing when I view the image on facebook. Have I done something wrong? Is something amiss in the software.

I noticed that when I installed Windows Live Photo Gallery wave 4 beta it has a built in facebook upload plug in.

It also still shows this LiveUpload plug in too.

The new native plug in seems to work great so I will be uninstalling live upload.

Thanks to the guy who created it, I hope that you were somehow involved/thanked by Microsoft

Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to re-write from scratch because of Facebook's API changes. I'll post back here when it's been fixed.
