Created Issue: Error when attempting to Add new account [10944]

I'm having an issue with LiveUpload to Facebook 3.0.
It was working just fine for both Photo Gallery and Movie Maker and all of a sudden, my account is not there as before. So I try to add the account again but I get the following exception when I press login

About 1 out of every 5 photos will not upload with the latest release (3.0). This never happened on previous releases.

The exact error is unfortunately not too helpful:
Uploading "DSC_1425.JPG"...Failed with the following error: "An unknown error occurred"

I can't figure out what the common element is to those photos that fail. I've ruled out tagging and size issues. The photo will NEVER upload correctly, even if it is the only in the batch.

Is there a way to get more detailed error messages?

Yeah, seems to have been a temporary Facebook issue. My problem photos eventually uploaded. Now, if I can only figure out how to "withdrawal" an issue...

Trying this tool for the first time today, I had a high rate of failures too. But I *was* subsequently able to upload a single photo that failed in the batch.

I'm having upload problems today as well. I suspect that it has less to do with the new 3.0, and more to do with something that has changed on facebook's end. Or it could just be a bad day for facebook - their website is generally acting wonky today. Whatever's going on, I hope it's sorted out soon!

I'm not behind any proxy. I'm on my home network - cable modem + netgear router. Let me know what you need from fiddler.

I uploaded an album with some really large pictures (3264 x 2448) and over 3MB and the final result on facebook was like 256 * 192 (I think).
I did some digging around and didn't really find the cause, but setting
this.sessionData.MaxWidth = 1600;
this.sessionData.MaxHeight = 1600;
In the ConfigurationSettigns.Publish method did the trick and my pictures got uploaded with max dimensions allowed by Facebook. smaller values like 1024 did not work.

I had the same issue and had to reupload the album several times to get all photos uploaded. It bombs out after an arbitrary number of photos - from 1 to 20 or so.

Because no one can reproduce this effect on Windows 7 RTM (official release), I'm marking as "fixed". If you come across this bug on Windows 7 RTM, please reopen it.

I have now tested this on 3 different PCs running Win 7 RTM (1 pc running x32 Ultimate, 2 pc's running x64 Enterprise) and all work fine. Looks like the sizing issue in the RC isn't present in RTM

Was seeing the sizing issue on Windows 7 RC x64 w/ WLPG version ? and plugin version ?, but no longer seeing the issue on Windows 7 RTM x64 w/ just-downloaded WLPG and just-downloaded plugin. Something's been fixed.

I'm having the same issue with both the older version of the plugin and the newly released version 3.0

I can confirm the bug for Windows 7 RC 64 bit edition which am using right now

The specs are:
WLPG version 2009 build 14.0.8064.206
Images: JPEG 3264x2448
Windows: 7 RC 64bit

Just tried this on Win 7 x64 Enterprise RTM and it worked fine (standard install of LiveUpload, not using the patched dll). I was previously having the small image problem on Win 7 RC.

Will try on more Win 7 RTM pc's and let you know if I see the problem on any of them.

Hey guys, I'm still looking into this but it's not fixed yet in version 3.0. Can anyone confirm this bug still exists in Windows 7 RTM (official release)?

The latest version of the Facebook API allows for video uploading, however LiveUpload to Facebook does not currently support uploading videos.
